Hairy Coo 2015

The Hairy Coo mountain bike races are a fat tyred feast of fun, skill and fast paced racing action suitable for all ages and abilities. Held annually at Comrie Croft Bike Trails, this years events will be taking place on Sunday October 11th.

The racing comprises three events, first to go at 11am is the Wee Race, which is a challenging but fun blast around the lower half of the croft trails, where riders of age 12+ battle it out for an hour. 

Next to go is the bairns race, which once again is part of the Big Tree Campervans race series. Anyone born since 2002 can take part in this and it is again as much or as little racing as you want to do in an hour, with the opportunity to rest if required. Racers are rewarded with a super fun course and this is always a well attended highlight of the day.

At 2pm the riders line up for the Big Race, a great fun test of skill and ability run over a carefully chosen route through the Croft's expanding trail network. The race is held over 4 laps, and is suitable for all comers, a course pre-ride is alwas advisable!

This events is grassroots mountain bike racing at it's finest, with bargain entry fees, great craic and always wonderful weather :) There is a cafe onsite selling all manner of deliciousness, a well stocked bike shop, and camping accommodation available onsite.
