Adult Course

This women’s only course will give you the opportunity to ride and learn in an environment with a unique vibe, one that is relaxed, encouraging and supportive.

The course is led by our coach Emily. Her enthusiasm and smile are infectious. She will put you at ease and inspire confidence, whilst challenging you within your own ability. 

By the end of the day, you will be walking a little taller, proud of your achievements, ready to head out onto the trails with a newfound confidence and have some fun! 

COURSE OUTLINE

The foundation of a great rider begins with mastering the core riding skills:

  • Body position – for balance while descending and climbing.
  • Changing gear efficiently and correctly.
  • Cornering – line choice, maintaining traction, body position & braking.
  • How to control speed and direction.
  • How to tackle tricky trail features such as roots and rocks safely.
  • How to tackle small drops in the trail.
  • Front wheel lifts for tackling small obstacles.

The course will be split between our skills park, where you will practice specific skills, and our trails, where you will put your newly found skills into practice. 

COURSE LOCATION: Comrie Croft Mountain Bike Trails

START TIME: 10am – 3pm (5hrs)

COST: £80

MEETING POINT: Emily will meet you in the open space to the front of Comrie Croft Bikes shop. Please come to the outside counter. As you come up the main drive the bike shop is at the left of the buildings in front of you.

KIT: A full kit list is provided on booking. If you do not own a bike or are unable to transport a bike to Comrie Croft, we offer bike and helmet rental at £10 per session. Please get in touch separately via the email bikes@comriecroft.com to book.

OUR COACHES: You are in safe hands! All our coaches are highly experienced and hold the following qualifications:

  • British Cycling Mountain Bike Leader
  • British Cycling Level 2 Coach or Go MTB Level 5
  • Outdoor First Aid
  • Member of the PVG scheme
