Kids Course
This is a BLUE graded course

that focuses on the core skills with which to start mountain biking.

The foundation of a great rider begins with mastering the core riding skills:

  • Body position – for balance while descending and climbing.
  • Changing gear efficiently and correctly.
  • How to brake properly.
  • Cornering – line choice, maintaining traction, body position & braking.
  • How to control speed and direction.
  • How to tackle tricky trail features such as roots and rocks safely.
  • How to tackle small drops in the trail.

The course will be split between our skills park, where riders will practice specific skills, and our trails, where riders will put their newly found skills into practice.

  • They are aged 8 - 12yrs.
  • They are confident on a bike and have already done a bit of mountain biking.
  • Your child must be fit enough to ride their bike for the duration of the course, which will include having to cycle uphill.
