Comrie Croft Bikes are looking for trail volunteers - can you help?
The trails at Comrie Croft are very sensitive beasts, they require a lot of love to keep them riding smoothly. We do a few days of trail maintenance a month, to keep on top of any issues. We also have separate Dig Days where we actively dig new trails, expanding the network and keeping things fresh for y'all. And ourselves.
Do you fancy coming along to lend a hand? If you can spare a day here or there, or if you are in charge of any group that you think might be able to come along to volunteer, please get in touch. If you are at a longer term loose end, we also take on residential volunteers, so if this sounds like it might be up your street, please email us and let us know.
Over the next few months, we will be upgrading drainage on the original red trails, and constructing a black graded downhill link, depends on how many bodies we can get to lend a hand. Want to see it happen? Come and help!
You can exchange your volunteer digging time for an annual car parking pass.
Simply attend 2 trail sessions, for around 4-5 hours each day, and you will be awarded free car parking for an entire year!
Half the trails at Comrie Croft have been hand dug, by our staff and band of local volunteers. The other half, Riks Reds, The Blue Trail and the Skills Park were all beautifully crafted by master trailbuilder Rik Allsop, who is also responsible for the fabulous Drumlanrig trails, amongst others. He builds great trail, if you would like to get in touch with Rik, drop us a line and we'll do the rest.
